Found a 98 Anthracite T4R 198k with locker. Frame rust some fading on tops. Leather looks redone interior in really good condition $1500. I want a locker ..Buy or pass for parts? Even the wheels look good

Thanks guys..I do have a question.. looking at the upper ball joints they look good the lower look good as well but I’m replacing them for piece of mind. Are the upper prone to failure as much as the lower?

I picked this up a couple months ago.. 106k very clean..did detailed search to make sure the mileage was correct and found nothing shady ..dealer records were consistent.. stoked to get to building.

Also the lights sometimes stay blinking while in 4wd but it seems to be engaged

It was in 4wd when i got in it to test drive but the lights were flashing I hit the 4wd button to get it out but nothing happened.. the guy jumped in and took it around the lot and it did come out of 4wd ..When putting it back in 4wd the 4wd lights blink for a bit then you get the fast clicking...

So I did a Carfax on it and it had the last service done by the mechanic who serviced it for the car lot it is currently on . Axel seals were done steering stabilizer bushings and transfer switch. I know I probably sound like a moron lol. But the clicking noise is not one click going in and out...

One thing I did not realize when I decided I wanted another 3rd gen 4runner was how hard it is to find one. Especially without rust and in decent shape..being from the Mid Atlantic region. Has anyone ever had a 4runner shipped a long distance say half way across the country..? I’m just curious...
