Considering ripping out my 3rd row from my 2011 sr5 as well, Anyone hazard a guess how much weight that will take off the 4runner by removing the 3rd row?

Absolutely, I just need to learn more about it and find local people to help me. I have ZERO experience with mechanic work. But I am eager to learn and do as much as I can myself. I would like to be able to do some light off roading/logging roads etc. So far my top five priorities #1-All...

Skid plates and sliders are pretty high on my list. As someone extremely new to this, can I ask, how does having the under armor, skid plates, etc, affect the ability to have work done, like oil changes and whatever, if I had to take it to my mechanic? Thanks!

Welcome, agreed. As someone new to having a 4runner, and new to offroading and backroads adventuring, I have been hungrily reading as much of this sites posts as possible. It really makes me feel even more stoked about owning this 4runner :)

Forgive my newness to 4x4ing. When you say ensure reliable tow points front and rear, do you mean installing some? I'm not sure what that means. Like different bumpers? Sorry, I literally have very little mechanical experience, but I am trying to learn as much as I can. Cheers!
