2000 4x4 3.4 auto I'd say I average 19 to 20 on the hwy, but have gotten 21 a few times. Around town 16-18. My dad has a 97 4 cyl 5 spd 4x4 and I don't think he get's much, if any, better than mine.

My code reader (innova 3030+) is giving me an "error" message. Its a super old reader so I just picked up a innova 3040RS. It says it can't connect. I've found a few other threads with this issue so I'm going to see where those lead me.

Similar story: 2000 SR5 V6 4x4 auto Engine turns but won't catch. Code reader is coming back with "error" which is a first for me. Vacume lines look ok. I did have a period where it was occasionally difficult to start. That was eventually solved with new plugs and wires. I did have a P0171...

related to question to the OP: do I have to put a CA CAT on my 2000 v6 to keep the ECU happy or can I put an out of state CAT on? I just move to TX and code 420 is preventing me from passing the state safety inspection. Thanks.

Thanks! I found a blown ACC fuse.

So I haven't had a chance to work more on this issue, but I've also noticed that the center dash clock is not working so I suspect it's a blown fuse. Hopefully tomorrow I'll have some time to play around with this.

I thought the acceleration of the gx460 premium we drove was good, but I didn't really push it. I share your feelings about the disconnected feel of the gx460. A very dead or numb feeling is how I would describe it. The 4runner definitely felt more fun to drive.
