Gotcha. I didn’t think so as I’ve looked around on the usual forums and couldn’t find it anywhere. Nice looking rig and I was curious about some of his mods.
Thank you,

Based on my experience with mine, the transfer case actuator. What a crappy design. The domestics had their issues with electronic actuators in the 80's and 90's, but they pretty much figured them out by the 2000's. Not to mention, when they did fail, it was a $100 part (or less) and could be...
I tried that, because it worked on other vehicles, but I guess Toyota decided to do it differently.
Gotcha, I didn't see that in the manual.
That's the one thing I didn't try, so I will give that a shot. Thank you,
Jack
I have an '04 Limited v8 and we really like it, but when you start it to let it warm up I can't figure out how to turn all of the lights off. The switch turns off the headlights/taillights, but the DRL's stay on. I've tried everything and I would really like to turn them off while it's warming...
I stayed stock on my '04 V8 Limited. Running the Discount Tire version of the Hankook Dynapro's. They have been great on highway and I have had no complaints offroad.

I have a friend with a '04 V8, running 4.88's with 33's. He was worried it would be too much, but with his armor (bumpers ff/rr, skids, sliders, drawers, and living at 4500'), he loves them.

I think the question that also needs to be asked is whether anyone with significant miles has had a transmission failure? Maybe Toyota knows what they are doing? Perhaps it's a moot point and more of a peace of mind versus a real need.
