Covering more surface area doesn't make a joint stronger, your weld only needs to fuse the material. If you spread a weld out over more surface, all you're doing is moving the moment away from the joint.

I don't really like that the side rails are flat sheet metal. It needs a bend along the length to stiffen it up.

That's funny, I got my Trail through Autonation for 1.5k under MSRP, and they gave me a GREAT deal on my trade in, all via email. Their service department has been another thing entirely, but I'd go back for sales.

Has anyone asked about heat soak with the supercharger placement? I don't think it'd be a huge deal only running ~6lbs of boost but I was just curious.
