i guess the reason for my question is so that I don't run out of gas someday because it says that I have 20 miles left and am stuck on the highway somewhere wondering why the computer lied to me. is that part still reliable?

Does the computer readout for mpg and avg speed still read correctly if you put bigger tires on. 265/65/17 to 265/70/17. Does it automatically correct itself and figure it all out, or should I not rely on it. I know that they will slightly decrease, but i just wondered if the computer figures it...

All I know is that Progressive wanted $290 for the same insurance a month as Geico wanted $119 for. That is a big enough difference to make me a firm believer in Geico.

I was also wondering if any of you had taken off the front mud flaps? The new tires are rubbing quite a bit in most sharper turns, I was interested to know how it looked, or if there was a better way to create space, or just not to worry about it.. thanks

I checked the psi, and it is at least 55. my guage only goes that high. Is that out of whack?

Thanks Tai, Yeah, that is what I meant 265/70/17. I will try your advice and give it another week. I may have to shave down some of the wheel well also as it is rubbing in some turns...
