    91 4runner middle diff?

I'm curious if this changed on the 3rd, 4th, 5th gens where they had lockers in front/rear? Maybe electronic locking. Also what's the diff between 4-LO and 4-HI?

    V8 from sequoia

northwest offroaders might have something. i remember seeing something on their site for V8 conversions. I would imagine the 4.7L being pricey. Might as well go for the 5.7L V8 :) Made a ton of power in my tundra

    1995 4Runner-Bad Head Gasket Question

my headgasket recently blew in my 95 V6 so here are my symptoms that I'll share. Note that it didn't all go at once, it seemed like it got worse over a 100mi period. Low Coolant Would boil over into expansion tank You can hear a boiling noise from the expansion tank after engine was shut down...

Need advice on the 3.4L swap

sounds like a good deal to me. Locally here you can buy a rebuilt 3.4 for about 1400 and it comes with a 1 year warrenty (they do need your core). If everything else you have works, then I think that's a very good deal. You can buy conversion kits from northwest offroad, or ORS. My head...

you have the 3VZ engine. It might help if you took a phone or video camera to the noise, record it and post it on youtube for us to hear. Sound is like taste, it's hard to describe at times and everyone has a different definition.

that sounds a bit odd. Does the engine sound normal when you try to crank it? I wonder if a rod bearing or main bearing went. if the noise is constant or gets louder as you rev it, it could be a bearing that went.

    95 v6 3.0l over heating problem

when is it overheating? meaning at speed, on the highway, at idle? If it's overheating in town, but not on the highway, it very well can be the fan clutch. those do wear out and don't have the ability to lock up enough to move any air. My car was overheating as a result of a blown head...

i have the ES3000 on my roughly 2-3" lift 2nd gen. I like em actually. They ride firm and don't bounce much. They are pretty cost efficient too.

Headgasket Blew - Putting in a Rebuild - Anything else I should do?

Hello All, I JUST Picked up this 95 4runner a month ago and now the headgasket is blown. After going back and forth the truck has a lot of new-ish parts on it and so I'm going to have a shop put in a rebuilt engine which is basically a completely rebuild long block minus the manifolds. Is...

Engine Idle pulsing randomly - head scratcher

not sure if it applies, but mine did this too, would go from 800rpm then up to about 1100, and then maybe drop down. i couldn't figure it out myself until the head gasket blew. The car always had some sort of coolant problem that seemed to slowly leak, then got worse. Not sure if this is your...
