another option that you could use year round is the duratrac by good year. it has provisions for studs already and is decent in snow

on my 95 it was the bulb. it's a single bulb back there with a diffuser - it's a small bulb - i forget what size.

I'm curious if this changed on the 3rd, 4th, 5th gens where they had lockers in front/rear? Maybe electronic locking. Also what's the diff between 4-LO and 4-HI?

you have the 3VZ engine. It might help if you took a phone or video camera to the noise, record it and post it on youtube for us to hear. Sound is like taste, it's hard to describe at times and everyone has a different definition.

that sounds a bit odd. Does the engine sound normal when you try to crank it? I wonder if a rod bearing or main bearing went. if the noise is constant or gets louder as you rev it, it could be a bearing that went.

when is it overheating? meaning at speed, on the highway, at idle? If it's overheating in town, but not on the highway, it very well can be the fan clutch. those do wear out and don't have the ability to lock up enough to move any air. My car was overheating as a result of a blown head...

i have the ES3000 on my roughly 2-3" lift 2nd gen. I like em actually. They ride firm and don't bounce much. They are pretty cost efficient too.
