New Shoes! Yokohama Geolandar H-T/S 265/70-17

Definitely. I have noticed a slight deterioration in MPG but I know these are substantially heavier than the stock AT20s, especially after 50k miles of wear. 37 lb vs 47 lb. I had no idea there was a 10lb difference!

I got a pretty good deal at Discount. $140/tire.

Yes, since the size is different.

New Shoes! Yokohama Geolandar H-T/S 265/70-17

Just thought I'd share some photos of my 2006 Sport with new tires. Thanks to all the good reading on here, I was able to jump a size up and fill some of that wheelwell. These replace the stock Dunlop AT20s, and they're very quiet and comfortable so far.

    ipod connection in 2006 LTD?

oh of course, but I'm a fan of instant gratification. :D Also, once you factor in shipping, that $.60 cable costs $2.57.

    ipod connection in 2006 LTD?

Just a point of clarification - that headphone cord that was linked from Apple.com is not worth the $19.95 that Monster Cable wants for it. I got a $3 headphone cable from Radio Shack. Just so nobody gets ripped off unnecessarily. :)

Sport Edition vs SR5 - Buying one this weekend!

I went through a similar decision, and I ended up with the 2006 Sport Edition. It had more miles than the year older SR5 I was looking at, but it is a Toyota so even 50k miles is just scratching the surface. Good luck. :)

    Rattle Trap

Well my 2006 has 40,000 miles on it and it sounds like a safe inside. It's silent. I think its silence might be why squeaks are so audible though. It filters out so much exterior noise that anything inside is easily heard.

What is a Clifford Intellisensor ?

And pretty good ones at that. Of course now almost all aftermarket alarms come from DEI, so Viper, Clifford, etc are all the same stuff.

    4 Runner Usability Issues

I was totally expecting to come in and find some unreasonable complaints, but honestly I feel the same way about the majority of them! haha I think the key is that they create many features for the "majority" of users, when in reality we may not be part of that majority. I work around it...

Jiffy Lube caugth in the act...

They exist because there are still people who go there and throw their money down the tubes. If people stopped patronizing places like this, they'd fold eventually. Unfortunately, for many people, convenience comes first - even at the expense of proper auto care.

Jiffy Lube caugth in the act...

oh yeah if this is the undercover story about how they don't do work they charge you for, I'm not surprised. Unfortunately, that kind of behavior has made me suspicious of all auto repair places. :\

Do you have many Squeaks/Rattles ?

My 2006 has 34k miles on it, I'm the second owner, and it's like a vault. I couldn't be happier with the silence. :D

    Sound deadening material

It's highly addictive. :D I'm currently trying to decide whether to go aftermarket for Nav, or with something like the AVIC-D3. I've already got amps, speakers, etc and I'm getting anxious to put it in!
