Maybe, I'm not sure but if this is the only time this has happened then maybe all the 1/4 tank of gas went to the back of the tank and you got air in the line and when you press the peddle that was all it needed to stall out. unless it does it again I would not worry about it.

Take a hammer to the center by the lug holes. If you are replacing it take a hammer to the back. If you are unlucky with this technique, then maybe you have two 1/4 inch threaded holes you can stick bolts into to force it off.

First of all thanks fopr your help. That's what my chilton's manual says but, I could of sworn I took it apart with one dot together. If I put two dots together then the timing belt sprocket won't be at TDC, it will be upside down. I'm scared to install it wrong because I've seen Broken valves...

I was talking about the Camshaft timing marks inside the cylinder head, where the Two camshaft spockets line up together on one side.:D But thanks though.

If your planning on getting stock, autozone and advance auto parts give you the option of 15 inch rims or 16 inch rims. My 96 3.4l 2X4 SR5 uses the 15 inch.

Does anybody know on the camshaft spockets at TDC is the one dot together or two dots together? - - or -- -- 3.4L 96 4runner

how much gas was in the tank at the time.

So I have taken everything off the head and the head won't come off. There are two or three 1 inch around allen head bolts, they look like plugs, do they need to come out? I already pulled the one 8mm bolt and the 8 12 mm 12pt bolts. it still won't come off.

I'm taking out the head because I have a sparkplug that blew out with the threads. I thought I should change the belt but It looks rediculous.

When do you change a timing belt, mine has 200k. Seems like a big job? I'm pulling the head, Does anybody have any pointers before I pull out the cam shafts? I've never done it before and I do not have a manual. I'm just going to wing it.
