its getting complicated and colder so yesterday i got a break in the weather and tested the starter and it works fine but for good measure i will rebuild the solonoid and starter since i have easy access to it now is there a way to bypass the neutral safety switch on a auto tranny

ok good to know so i should be looking elsewhere like maybe the starter is faulty since the truck has'nt ran in 6months and sat in a garage untouched after the motor was replaced and the wire harness bucherd by previous owner.
