I did the brake service today and am glad I did. It was interesting to see the amount of corrosion that started to form after only one winter. The fronts were easier to service than most cars.

I appreciate all the kind comments. I like the look without the boards but I'm a little height challenged so I'm concerned that without the boards, I'll wear down the drivers seat sooner than normal with getting in and out.

The Accessories Development and Marketing Department of Toyota Canada has acknowledged responsibility and have documented that the kit will be sent to the dealer when available. It just doesn't make sense that I can drive 30 minutes to a dealer in NY state and have them installed the same day...

In Canada, all Limited models include running boards. Apparently, starting some time in 21 and due to supply chain issues, board kits were no longer available so Toyota shipped finished vehicles without them under the promise that when the board kits were available, the dealer would install...

We've seen this type of thing before and it will be resolved. Given they are the largest automotive manufacturer in the world, they do a great job of rating pretty high on the dependability charts and low on the recall rates. “All of this has happened before, and it will all happen again.”...
