Sounds like what was wrong with mine, except I was only misfiring above 3000 rpm. Cylinder 5 was arcing to the engine head instead of sending current to the spark plug. Changed the coil pack boots and the problem went away. Check the spark plug of the affected cylinder for carbon tracking.

To comment further on Gorilla glue, I believe it has to be clamped for best results. The glue expands which could cause some unevenness in the surface, granted you're not worried about the looks. But if there isn't some form of pressure applied (which would be hard to do on a leather seat...

Coil boots, PCV valve and redid some engine hoses.

Saw the post earlier about running the bolts through the entire frame. Since that would be mounting double shear as opposed to single shear, it leads me to believe that you'd have more strength mounting that way in terms of breaking the bolts than if you had a nut inside of the frame.
