I may be joining the family...pics

Find a way to check the frame. It's hard to find true gems. I bought my 2001 with 180k on the clock, rust, and some other minor things that didn't work. These trucks will require maintenance, and I'd rather buy something that might take a little work than wait for years for something I might...

    LED Dash lights FAQs

I'll have to check it out later, mine might be dimmer as well and the quality of the photo might make them appear to be the same. There are definitely some inconsistencies in the lighting in all of the gauges and buttons. Any chips in the tubes that lead to the buttons will also cause the...

If it's on a coil pack cylinder, could also be a bad connection between the coil pack tube and the plug.

    LED Dash lights FAQs

Didn't see any images here, so here is a picture of my dash lit up with white LED's. Matches well with the blue-white scheme of the Pioneer.

    Some Rust and Lift Questions

Thanks all for the replies. I'll head out soon and snap a few more pictures of the frame points that got brought up. Anybody have any input on whether I need the dust shields or if I can just cut parts of them off? I'd prefer not to disassemble the entire bearing just to remove the decrepit...

    Some Rust and Lift Questions

Hello everyone! I finally got the truck up on a lift the other day so I could do a good inspection of the suspension components and other parts of the undercarriage. I'm in the process of shopping for lift components but I wanted to beseech some of the more experienced members here to give me...

I own a G-Shock and love it. My Invicta by all means should be destroyed but it's still ticking.

"Misfire in Cyl. #3" Trouble Code

Sounds like what was wrong with mine, except I was only misfiring above 3000 rpm. Cylinder 5 was arcing to the engine head instead of sending current to the spark plug. Changed the coil pack boots and the problem went away. Check the spark plug of the affected cylinder for carbon tracking.

    Re-stitching leather seat bottom?

To comment further on Gorilla glue, I believe it has to be clamped for best results. The glue expands which could cause some unevenness in the surface, granted you're not worried about the looks. But if there isn't some form of pressure applied (which would be hard to do on a leather seat...

3rd Gen with 200,000+ Miles. Any issues or major problems?

The older and less perfect it is, the less you care about taking it through the rocks, trees, and dirt... At least that's been true in my perspective.

    Re-stitching leather seat bottom?

If you don't care about how it looks, you could always just leave it.

What Did You Do To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Coil boots, PCV valve and redid some engine hoses.

    Shooter's Build Thread

Saw the post earlier about running the bolts through the entire frame. Since that would be mounting double shear as opposed to single shear, it leads me to believe that you'd have more strength mounting that way in terms of breaking the bolts than if you had a nut inside of the frame.
