I'll go about this from experience. I own a 97 ltd (192k) whiles my dad owns a 00 SR5. (178k) TBH, I love my 97.. feels more "truck" like for some reason.. but I LOVE driving the sr5. Cloth seats just feel so much better to me, the steering wheel and interior upgrades are a plus. CUP HOLDERS...

That's a steal. Current pricing in the local tri-state area is about 3500-4000 for 96-00 with 200k miles average. Good job on the pick up!

Had this issue on my dad's 00.. changed everything, turned out to be a bad fuel injector and solenoid in the valve body. Could have been either or, but we narrowed it down to those two and just fixed both issues at hand. Never happened again.

Didn't do anything physically on the truck, but went and picked up this bad boy. Only 1 on the entire Island smh..

Before I settled on my 97, I went and looked at a bunch of others.. MOST had rust issues which led me to stay away. I ended up picking up my 97 with some hail damage on hood and roof because the motor and vehicle was in immaculate condition otherwise. I'd dump everything into the 99. Bodywork...

From what I'm hearing, looks like I'll need to place my order now if I want it on for the summer? Not even being sarcastic.

For the sake of knowing it's not blocked and just cleaning the debris, I'm actually gonna tackle that job this weekend. How involved is this? I'm guessing maybe just the glove box has to come out correct? I also checked for that L shaped drain and didn't see anything. I'll have to look again...

Can anyone possibly post a picture of the location? I was able to find 2 little nipples on the passenger side of the engine bay, maybe an inch in length each. I'm not too sure which is which though. From other threads people have said the drains should be in the shape of a right angle, so I'm...

As long as everything checks out I think you should be fine. Going to be pretty tough to find one squeaky clean no accidents. Minor scratches or taps on the bumper wouldn't be a problem for me.
