    where to mount arb compressor?

My compressor isn't ARB, but there's a ton of room in the driver side rear quarter panel. Regulator, manifolds, pressure switch, and solenoids to run the front and rear lockers plus a hose that comes out below the tailgate.

    x-mission won't shift from 2nd to 3rd

If you do decide to replace the solenoids, it's not a hard job. You can get a set of all 3 from eBay, and it's just a matter of removing some bolts from the bottom of the transmission to get to them.

ARB locker switch to R/R Diff Lock Light Wiring

I was hunting all over for this info, so I'm adding it here in case it's useful to anyone else. 2000 4Runner How to wire the factory R/R Diff Lock dash light to an ARB Locker switch: 1. This light activates when the wire sees ground, so you'll need a 12v SPST relay (like Viair # 93940 or...

    Which brake rotors to choose?

Is this the first time you're changing the rotors? If so, and you don't want to do the Tundra upgrade yet, you might just want to try whatever replacement rotors from the local parts store. I've replaced mine twice now since buying the truck, they last a couple years before starting to warp and...

    Lift?

It would be better math if you would say that 1 inch of suspension lift raises your center of gravity by 3/4 inch (an inch lift can only raise the cog by one inch max right? ... and suspension lift raises 75% of the weight of the vehicle because it includes the frame and body). So then for the...

Decisions to be made.... (Pics Included)

If you just wanted to fix the rake, I'd say take out the front spacer. But since you want bigger tires, you'd be better off raising the back end. Here's an old thread about trim packers with 891's: http://www.toyota-4runner.org/3rd-gen-t4rs/93995-trim-packers.html Daystar makes leveling kits...

Awesome write-up! I've never taken apart the axles, and was surprised how easy it was. I replaced the seals, and had a shop press the bearings off/on. They groaned when I said Toyota axles, but had them ready the next day. Parts $319.54 Labor $110.00 Some advice: 1. For removing the brake...

Question about replacing rear driveshaft u-joints

Second that, the Haynes manual mentions that the OEM double-cardan U-joint is not rebuildable and to replace the whole assembly. I picked up a driveshaft from a local junkyard and it fixed my problem.
