That's how the factory remote start works. Very annoying to say the least. The only way around it would be to go aftermarket, but you better make sure you find a competent installer. A few members on here have had issues with aftermarket remote starts. Edit: NoDak beat me to the punch.

I really like this, but I didn't realize how much the TOYOTA letters blended in with the rest of the grill. How visible are the letters in person? By the way, how is the light output?
