    Looking at this 4runner...

About 260k on the original clutch in my '96 Sr5... Also, everyone needs to keep in mind that values in CA are higher than other parts of the country. The price doesn't seem crazy high if it's in good shape, but probably a bit high. If they are asking $5800, it means they are really expecting...

    starting issue, possible cluch switch

Hey Folks... I've got a '96 5spd with over 240k miles on it... This last week I started having an issue with starts. The first few days it was only a problem for the first start of the morning. I would turn the key and it would only "click" even though the battery was fine. Pushing the...

    Venom Performance module

That whole post is confusing... How was it proven? Did you see dyno results? I'm just curious as the original poster is looking for opinions based on experience or fact. I understand you can add a $10 home depot manual boost controller to almost any turbo-charged car and pick up more HP than...

    Venom Performance module

Sure, 6 or 8 hp may not be much, but if you find 3 or 4 ways to up the power by that much and it will be noticeable for sure. and I'll stick by my comment that peak HP shouldn't be your goal. -Matt

    Venom Performance module

I guess it depends on your definition of value. For me, 10whp would be well worth 250 or 300 bucks. And it might not change peak HP at all, but it could still improve driveability. I would guess it advances the timing down low, but maybe not... It would be good to get some specs on what it...

    Venom Performance module

I saw a review of one of the Venom products on one of those Sunday morning Truck shows. I can't remember what vehicle, but they showed a solid improvement on the dyno. I'm interested to hear if anyone has experience using one on the 4Runner. My '96 5-spd is painfully slow... -Matt

How many miles on your 4runner?

Getting close to 250k on my '96 SR5 4wd 5-spd. 246k or something like that as it sits. Basic maintenance, but still original motor and clutch. -Matt

    Good price for 98 SR5 4x4 V6 Stick shift?

The price seems a bit high, but not outrageous for California. I wouldn't worry about the miles much. My '96 SR5, 5-speed, has 250k miles and is still on the original clutch. -Matt

    FS: '96 Sr5, 5Spd, 4x4, $4500, Modesto, CA

I would listen to offers, but I think $4500 for this truck is a pretty good deal. -matt

    FS: '96 Sr5, 5Spd, 4x4, $4500, Modesto, CA

Hey Folks.... I'm moving to Austin, TX in a week and decided it's not cost effective to take multiple vehicles. The Audi won out, so the 4Runner is going cheap or going in to storage. 1996 Toyota 4-Runner SR5 3.4l 6 cyl 4x4 White Exterior / Blue Interior 5 Speed 218,400 miles Factory CD...
