    Enigma's 1st runner build

So I never really got to follow thru with the mods I had initially planned 4 years ago. Family, kids, hobbies, house, other vehicles got in the way But I have loved and maintained this vehicle the entire time. In 4 years i've only added 25k miles but she's been a peach the whole time. I finally...

    Enigma's 1st runner build

So I got the ol girl a toyota roommate for a while. 2003 Tacoma Double Cab with Camburg long travel and deaver mid travel in the rear. I sold her after about 18 months of ownership as it was a bit redundant to have two very similar platforms. It has 215k miles on it and was 2wd and I initially...

No Spark to Ignition Coil 3.4

Alrighty, I hope this isn't too long winded... In February, I took my truck out wheeling and it died mid trip. Ended up being a failed Ignition coil (cylinder 1) It was completely cracked thru It was a Sunday, Oreilly's was the only place nearby and open, so I purchased a replacement for $120...

    Rear long Travel

A lot of discussion on cantilever set ups...They are bad ass for sure, but the are very cost prohibitive! I think that's why many just go with leafs. But canti looks clean!

    Sniv's Custom Long Travel Build

Fox doesn't out perform them they have better/the best customer service but people hate on saw like flat bill bros swing on kings....all the cool kids do it. Saws perform very well, are easy to rebuild have a great collapsed length and are built well also. Fox is a huge company with a lot of...

    Geared People Running 33's-35's: ATTN

So with torque multiplying in 4lo how easy is that on your trans and other drive train parts? 230-250whp and similar torque from an sc on the stock trans driving around isn't going to grenade it because you didn't regear....really if you gear your rig you'll probably blow the rear dif sooner...

    Sniv's Custom Long Travel Build

My bad on the confusion about the bilsteins, I thought I read a few pages back you were looking at going with rebuildable 7100/9100s. I like fox and saw/racerunner a lot. I have SAW coilovers/bumps/shocks on my rig right now. Really the big 3-5 companies will be comparable with pricing...

    Geared People Running 33's-35's: ATTN

Haven't been on the site in a while...this thread was great...loved getting my head bit off because I prefer to have more power over some measily gears. fwiw, I'm still on 33s and 4.30s on one rig, and 4.88s and 35's on the other. no desire to put 4.88s in the truck on 33s. it would be terrible...

    Sniv's Custom Long Travel Build

sweet thread, some good documentation and out loud thinking for sure. Do you plan on fabbing your kit to be 3.5" over? Should be interesting to see the final outcome. I personally would buy a kit, and then put my fab skills to work in the rear since there are so many tried and true options for...

    4.56 or 4.88's?

I have one rig with 4.30s and 32's and another with 4.88 and 35s...I would do 4.56 on 33's if I had 4.10 factory. If you had 4.30's I wouldn't waste the time and I'd just supercharge it :D. I think 33s and 4.88 is doable, would be real peppy in town, but highway wouldn't be too awesome. with...

    Enigma's 1st runner build

Its been a long time since I updated on here. No real updates to the rig. I am actually replacing all the wheel bearings at the moment, as well as the rear axle seals, and the front CV boots. I also scored a set of Tacom 17" wheels that I am mounting a set of 285/70/17 tires here shortly. Should...
