Just recently I've noticed a higher pitch motor running sound fron under the hood when I start my 07 V8 4runner, it only runs for maybe 10-15 sec or sometimes not at all. Never noticed this sound before? Has to be a pump going? Is it the master cylinder pump? Power steering? Thanks for the help.

Stop, pull the pin on both sides, go offroad. When you're done put the pin in. Very easy. The only downside is the do make a little noise offroading when the bar sides up and down but it's not a big deal and you get used to it. Read all about them on the link I listed...
