Did OP ever state what problem they're trying to solve? If it's brake fade, upgrade the brake fluid. If it's stopping power, I'd try more aggressive pads (if they exist?). But like someone else pointed out the 4Runner seems to brake pretty well all things considered, but damn is the pedal mush...

Can't say I've ever noticed a difference in sound when using 4hi vs 2wd. Did the dealer check the fluid and replace any that might've leaked out?

Admittedly never tried it on wheels (but have on other metal), but what about permanent marker or a paint pen?

Seems like a BS excuse from the dealer. It's marketed as an off road SUV and if dirt gets in there and causes a malfunction from "normal" driving (not burying the car in sand) then that's a design issue.

Interested to hear if rotating slightly helps. I just greased mine last week and ran into the same issue, ended up taking off the locking coupler and putting a standard one back on to grease those since the locking coupler wouldn't fit.

This. In certain conditions if I have AC off it'll fog my windows. If it's fogging them with AC on I'd say there's a problem and like another poster said I'd take it in.

The cost to wrap a 4Runner is likely more than $3.8K if you go to someone proven who does quality work/uses quality material.
