    Eibach Pro-truck lift

This was from Toytec: Hello Brandon, The Eibach kit is an honestly daily driver/ light offroader style kit designed more toward on road performance and handling overall along with ride comfort. The Bilstein kit will be a little more on the "aggressive" side of things per-say, with...

OEM Audio + 5th Gen 4Runner audio system

My fader works just fine. But its my understanding these are designed to be dead center and neutral on the eq. While I'm waiting for an amp exchange I find a notch back on my fader does reduce the lows in the 6x9s making it more tolerable.

    No popping from either amp

OEM Audio + 5th Gen 4Runner audio system

So I tried the loaner amp today. Remember my original was a conversion from my Tacoma which they were kind enough to program to the T4R. For some reason the eq was off or was not able to be adjusted with the conversion which really threw off the 6x9 speakers and sub. The T4R specific amp they...

OEM Audio + 5th Gen 4Runner audio system

So OEM Audio sent me a pair of original 6x9s and 450q amp specific to 4runner to assess and compare to my conversion. Gonna try the speaker swap first then try the amp. Fingers crossed this fixes my issue of chasing the right EQ.

    Tuning/power adders?

Dont believe OVTune has anything yet. As I've heard, they're still looking into it.

jcage89, do you feel like the 6x9s get muddy at all? Are you keeping the HU eq at neutral? Wondering if you would you be interested in trying to listen to a few songs that I have asked Daniel to evaluate? Or, I can try a few from SG and Audioslave you reccomend. Hes still waiting to get a T4R...

I don’t think there’s a way to install that incorrectly behind the head unit. I would double check and make sure all your connections are correct on your head unit. Also make sure the fuse is working. Check for heat at the amp. It’ll warm up if it’s on at all.

from the email this evening: We are suspecting that there may be a mis-match between your 450Q Amplifier EQ (using you Tacoma conversion Amplifier) and our New 6x9 (32-2015). A difference in sound reproduction that would not be present with the 500Q EQ work. That being said, we are arranging to...

I have. Same songs and the issue was still there, although a little more clear. Im going to try a usb drive and see what happens with that... I do have sound dampening but cant imagine it would cause this issue. BTW, that mod looks sweet. Looks like something else I need. =-)

Daniel had me send him a few songs for his tech guys to look at on their vehicle. Im tempted to reinstall the factory 6x9s to see the difference. Im going to try and tweak with some eq settings on my ipod and see what happens.

When I had my tacoma I dialed it in and it sounded clear and punchy. I listen to rock and metal mostly but all the genres I listened to sounded considerably better than stock.
