    V6 or V8

Better to have, and not need... You mentioned "a perfect ride"... for you. Its difficult for others to know what your requirements are, 4runner wise. I suggest that you write down what those are... Overall look/cosmetic Cost Mileage Color Etc... For me, for example, power was my number 1...

    Debating buying a 4th gen 4Runner. Help!

Great Trucks Between the two you found, I would go with the silver one as it has low mileage, good price and nice color. But, before you do, I suggest that you inspect the car thoroughly inside, outside and underneath (for singn of rusts, oil/leaks). A year ago I found a nice looking V8...

    New 4Runner! V8

Looking Awesome What a nice titanium look, low mile, AWD 4.7L powerhouse you have found! Congrats. You'll definitely enjoy the rides for many years to come. EDIT: Don't forget to wash off those salts from the bottom of your Runner :-) Cheers!

What would you replace your 4runner with?

Do what your heart's telling you... I strongly suggest that you keep your 4Runner with the following reasons: * 4x4 is almost a must to have, living in Minesota. I could not imaging driving in snowy day with 4 & 1 years old kids in the back without it - IMHO. * With two kids, nothing is big...

Should I buy this urban runner?

Are you in the ...rush? Rocketboy, If you can, avoid any kind of 'accident' in the vehicle's history report. Some accident could be severe and can't be fixed to the original characteristics, either look or/and performance. I suggest you keep searching patiently. Don't be afraid to go or...

New 4th Gen owner in AZ!

First of all, congratulations on your purchase. You were right, finding good, clean used Runner that meets personal preference has been tougher lately. You will enjoy it for the years to come. If this is your first Runner, why in such hurry to get ride off the XREAS? So what if you should...

    2WD in Snow?

I vote for 4x4... Nothing can be compromised with safety, especially when it comes... your love ones. If you can get a 4x4, please do so as you will appreciate it more later. Is it a must to have, probably not. My retired uncle has been driven rear wheel drive trucks for years (40+) and...

    Possible Pathfinder replacement

I have seen worst Jerm... that ain't nothing bro:cheer2: Mine was 10 times worst. If you really care about keeping her for another years, perhaps you should consider spraying rust stop materials underneath. Ziebarts have chemical stuffs that will stop or slows down the rusting process of...

Debating trading in for a car

I couldn't agree more. No one knows exactly how one's situation is, financially, personally and more. While saving $150.00 a month means nothing to others, it does big deal to someone else. That said, if you will be happier with the dollars saving with new vehicle, just follow your heart...

    Snow

it can get worst A few years back, the night before the snow storm, I thought my sis in law was over reacted when she decided to stay in the hotel next to the hospital, where she worked, as she was afraid of not being able to drive to work on the next day according to the weather broadcasting...

    Frame rust

Bob, setting the frame cost aside, I found it hard to believe that it would cost you $6000 for the XREAS system. I spoke to local dealer sometime last year when I swapped out my XREAS, but wanted it back afterward, and I was quoted $300.00 per side or $600.00 total for parts. Shock absortbers...
