Clutch Engaging Too Low (Looking for suggestions)

I'll also add this. A couple of years ago my brother replaced his clutch/parts with autozone stuff and it behaved the same ways as yours. Barely let off on the clutch pedal before the jeep would start going. We tired different things to fix the issue and finally ended up pulling the tranny and...

Clutch Engaging Too Low (Looking for suggestions)

clutch suggestions Another possibility is that the throw out bearing fork has a stress crack and is deflecting when you press in the clutch. U might be able to tell by removing the dust cover on it and looking at it while someone else is pressing the clutch pedal. This happened to my friends...

Vacuum Check Valve for Brake Booster

I had the same issues, hissing sound from inside the cab, hard pedal etc. Mine turned out to be a bad brake booster. BTW, I have a 2000 4runner. My money is on bad brake booster. Good luck. Mike M

Cardone Reman Brake Booster = GARBAGE

I should also add this booster worked for my 2000 SR5 4runner and I'm pretty sure this booster had the same p/n on it as my original one and indeed is made in Japan, which made me feel better about purchasing it.

Cardone Reman Brake Booster = GARBAGE

Power booster The Seiken brake booster P/N W0133-1741918 is supposedly the OEM. I replaced mine back in November with this booster and it was identical. It's a little expensive $340, but I wanted a quality part and this was the best one I could find short of getting the same part from the...

    Coolant residue on intake manifold

Pretty sure it's not the ECT sensor as it looks to me most of the coolant is around that intake bolt. I suppose it could be the main water intake gasket. I'll remove the timing cover and do some more investigating.. The truck has 246k and I've never replaced any of those gaskets. If I have to...

    Coolant residue on intake manifold

Thanks for the quick reply. yes at front and no not the tb coolant lines. I was hoping it might be the temp coolant sensor, but looking closely at it, that doesn't appear to be the culprit. To me it almost looks like the intake manifold bolt shown in the picture. Do you know if it's possible to...

    Coolant residue on intake manifold

Have a 2000 4runner with 3.4 v6. Today I noticed that there's coolant residue on the intake manifold, front of motor passenger side near the temp coolant sensor. I was wondering if the intake gasket is going bad or other. Appreciate any suggestions. Attached a picture, apologize if it is too...

    brake pedal spring location

Hi, During the installation of my brake booster, the brake pedal spring fell off from up top. I'm not sure I got the upper portion of the spring in the correct location. I found a tab up there (expecting to see a hole for the spring end to go through) and hooked it on there. I would appreciate...

    denso replacement fuel pumps

I've read conflicting info. that the Denso replacement fuel pumps for our 4runners are now made in China instead of japan. Has anyone bought a Denso pump recently and confirm for me the origin of manufacturer? Thanks Mike M

Frame Rusted Through, Whats my Next Move...?

frame VIN # Interesting thread. Out of curiosity I check to see if the last 7 digits on my frame match the VIN and it does as well. I have a 2000 4runner with 5 speed.

    4runner intermittently not turn over

Starter Update Update: Replaced the contacts. Typical contact side was very worn down and other side was good. Glad I did it, but even with 5 speed job is still a PITA. Starter was removed from wheel well. For those who have a v6/5speed with the 1.4kw starter, here's the Toyota part numbers I...

    4runner intermittently not turn over

Thanks guys. I have ordered the parts just waiting for them to arrive. Will check for voltage. I get full lights and everything when starting it up. I first noticed this when the weather was starting to get cold (40s for Tucson) and at first start up during the morning for about 3 days...
