You sir were 100% correct. I pulled it off and realigned the fit, starting with the top lip and notches first. It fits perfectly. Thanks for the advice!

EDIT Finally got mine in... installed it, and everything worked out well. WORD OF ADVICE for the install, start with the “upper lip” and align the notches/grooves. This will help keep everything centered, and avoid any warping/off-centering. For example: I took off the upper grilled...
