Worth is different for everyone but if I was still in the market to buy a 4runner, assuming your vehicle was never in a major accident and everything checked out at a mechanic shop, I would pay 6k for it and maybe 6.5k. On the other hand, if your not in too much of a hurry to buy another...

Going by the cars in your family, get the Lexus or your son's car will stick out like a sore thumb. Make sure you also pay for the insurance and all maintenance too. :lmao:

bought a 2004 limited v6 with 119,200 on her for $9800 from a private party about 2 weeks ago. Did the 120k mile service the next day for $700 and so far so good. Never used for towing and never in an accident. Some minor scatches but I was going to do light offroading so I didn't care...

I purchased the 5 vin checks for $45 as I wanted to check out the car I was going to buy but also wanted to get a carfax for the car I was selling. I didn't realize it until now but I have to agree, it is awful. My car was in 2 accidents and neither showed up. I am with a major insurance...

I think it's overpriced for a 2004 even with the low mileage. Just my opinion but I wouldn't pay more than 15k for it. I think you can get a 2006 limited V8 with similar miles for 18k - 20k. I recently bought a 2004 limited V6 with 119k miles for $9800. I understand the one you are looking...

According to my mechanic and some of my friends. Almost everyone here including me over paid for their 4runner. He said my 4runner wasn't worth more than 6 to 7K :wtf:

Called to have the mechanic check all the fluids and to change them if they need it. Hopefully they are all good or can at least last till the next oil change.

I thought all 4th generation 4runners V6 engines were the same, 1GR-FE V6 4.0 Liter engine. could you pls post a link so i can read about it? thx

I read about the head gasket, transfer case, and the catalytic converter. I did see some engine rebuilds but there were a lot of people who seemed to be doing ok.

can anybody tell me what needs to be done for the 120k maintenance on 2004 4wd V6? I'm taking it to a local mechanic and want to make sure he uses the right stuff oil change (what type of oil and any preferred brands) transmission (what type and brand) spark plugs, etc rotate tires, anything...
