I have started to notice a whine noise from the right rear when driving. At this point it is relatively faint, noticable at 30ish mph increasing with speed. I have adjusted the parking break back to make sure its not rubbing and the rear calipers appear to be working fine. There isn't any shimmy...

Ya, I pulled that and the button is there but whether it is depressed or not you can do whatever you want with the shifter. I checked all the fuses, none seemed blown out. Doesn't sound like this is a common problem. It doesn't seem to be a huge issue. Matt

I just purchased a used 05 4x4 SR5 4R. I noticed that the shift lock does not work and without even the key in the ignition or a foot on the brake I can shift into any gear. Everything operates great other than this. Anyone ever run into this problem before? My search turned up the opposite...
