Im starting to plan out my next purchase in about a year. I plan on gifting my college bound son my 2014 4Runner and purchasing one of these three LC250 - LC trim if i can afford it, 1958 if i like it LC200 - newest/lowest mileage i can find and inspect TRD Pro 4Runner 5th Gen -...

My plan is in a year to 18 months, after seeing if the LC250 goes through the normal growing pains of a 1st run vehicle, recalls, upgrades, ect... Plan A is to go drive one, see if i like the 4cyl hyb and if the LC nameplate is being honored...if so, that will be my next-vehicle upgrade...

I have heard many times several 'experts' who will tell you...even the legendary Toyota LC100/200, with full time 4WD arent truly in 4-wheel drive mode until you lock the center diff... if they are going to make this a requirement, then they need to task someone with making a list of vehicles...

Full disclosure, id opt for a full TRD Pro to basically go FULL TILT Upgrade at that point. Ive got nothing against an OR...i would just want every ounce of upgrade i could get at that point, including the upgraded or overhyped suspension as well. Not to mention the cosmetics of getting a PRO...
