Has anyone attempted the linked "Cupholder Mod" with a 1999 center console in a 1996 4Runner? I have found a nice one but wanted to make sure the process would still work with my 1996 instead a 1998, like in the link. So anyone done that with a 1996 before? Thanks! MrSimmonsSr

Well, they must extend down here because my lock/unlock is now working perfectly with the configuration shown in my last picture.. Would love to see what you're talking about, though. Please do still post that pic. Might be helpful for the next person to try this install...
