Well I went to the dealership and the said the compressor is shot. I need confirmation. The things works great in Park and at lo speeds, so is this possible? and is 1200 bucks out of line?

I have an 02 Limited 4x4 and when I use the A/C it works great, however it makes a load dull screaming noise at random. I turn the A/C off and of course it goes away. This does not matter what speed I am doing, but on the hwy I can slip it in to N and tuen the A/C back on and then slip it back...
