Move the spare tire to the cargo area and mount a 26 gallon tank from an F150 for an auxiliary tank on your 4Runner where the spare tire use to be located; you'll be running 700 miles between fills!

Thanks for posting this thread! Just ordered a set of the Highland Contura splash guards style G #11051 for my wifes '99 Limited. After owning it a month both my wife and I agree that the running boards are useless.

Try check the owners manual for an emergency fuel shut off switch for the fuel pump. First to see if it is equipped with one and second if it is, to find its location.
