My AT 20's had about 44k on them when I replaced them with Firestone Destination AT's. The AT 20's were o.k. until about 40,000. Their grip on wet roads dropped significantly after that and I did not have much confidence in them. I've had the Firestone's for about 3 months now and really like...
I keep mine stored on its side and don't notice it leaking. I typically use Mobil 1 and can't say that it is more prone to leaking. I had some Valvoline synthetic before that leaked really bad. I didn't release the pressure on it and the last 1/4 of the container was so dried out that I had...
Do you pull the plunger back and take the pressure off of the grease when you're not using it? It does help to do that. The grease will still want to separate some, but releasing the pressure will not push it out of the canister as easily.
Last week I called around and got some prices on Destination AT's but did not pull the trigger. Then we got 8" of snow here on Saturday and I still had my 4 year old Dunlops (43,000 mi). The Flops were never that great of a tire, but now they aren't very good in the rain and absolutely...
If it's opening and closing properly and not making any strange noises it may be as simple as adjusting the position of the glass. There are 4 torx head screws that hold the sunroof glass in place and they allow for some up and down adjustment. The rear screws may have just come loose and the...
On my drive home tonight I was thinking about how smooth and solid my Runner felt. Makes me gald I bought it instead of a GMC Envoy 3 years ago. Then again, the choice was really easy when I compared the two.
I think just about any grease will seperate if you leave it in grease gun long enough, especially if you leave pressure on it. Try taking some of the pressure off the grease canister when you're not using it. It seems to have helped mine. I had some Valvoline synthetic grease "thicken up" in...
I've never liked Armorall. I've always thought it was too greasy and too shiney to use on the inside surfaces. And then there are all the posts and articles that say it does more harm than good, which I really don't know how true they are. I've been using 303 Aerospace Protectant for about a...
No complaints here. We've got it in our Honda too and both work fine. No problems with the range. I do agree that you have to hold the button a little longer the original remote but it's not much longer.
I only had my 4Runner for two weeks before the windshield got cracked. Replacement glass is still holding up I guess. I've only had to get one small chip/crack repaired so far.
I've got a PIE auxilary adapter hooked into my Scion headunit for my satellite radio. Sounds great and was easy to hook up. There's a bunch of people on here who are using auxilary input adapters. Do yourself a favor and get a Scion headunit too, it's not that expensive, plugs directly into...
One of my plastic brackets that holds the wind deflector broke on my sunrrof. Best I could tell the little tab that holds it in the sunroof track broke off and caused it to keep slipping out of place. I dropped it off on Tuesday morning at the dealer expecting it to be a simple fix. I also...
