    Here is a link to the Smart Fuse They are supposed to glow when blown for easier identification. Mine refused to glow or to act as a blown fuse.

    OK, mystery solved. I measured the voltage on the back of the power outlet. Without anything plugged ( ~12V) and with a charger plugged in ( ~5V) .... hmmmm.
