Actually it doesn't say Type B, i'm just referencing the user manual. I think the Type A indicator light is the one that shows center differential, and the Type B is the one with the two front wheels turned at an angle. So i'm assuming since my model is 2WD, the light will never turn on? Or am...

Hi, I own a 2WD 2000 4Runner SR5 and noticed the instrument panel has a Type B 4WD indicator light (not lit obviously). Does anyone know why? Do the 2WD and 4WD just share the same cluster? I searched the forum, but couldn't find anything. Thank you! Mike

Hello, My name is Mike and I just picked up a super clean, black 2000 4Runner SR5 last weekend, and I LOVE IT. I've traditionally been a Honda dude, but after owning a '98 standard cab Tacoma and this 4Runner, i'm starting to enjoy Toyotas as much. Looking forward to posting more soon! Mike
