Type B 4 Wheel Drive Indicator Light

Hi,

I own a 2WD 2000 4Runner SR5 and noticed the instrument panel has a Type B 4WD indicator light (not lit obviously). Does anyone know why? Do the 2WD and 4WD just share the same cluster?

I searched the forum, but couldn't find anything. Thank you!

Talking out of my butt here... but I just thought maybe type B is for the AWD (central locking diff.) models?

Actually it doesn't say Type B, i'm just referencing the user manual. I think the Type A indicator light is the one that shows center differential, and the Type B is the one with the two front wheels turned at an angle.

So i'm assuming since my model is 2WD, the light will never turn on? Or am I missing something?

Manufacturing short cut. You will probably notice that you have a RR Diff light that never turns on too.
