Thanks. Ya, I’m not sure if I need to lower my standards or not. I’ve definitely seen worst rust but I was expecting to see less rust since I’m in SoCal. This truck is from UT and AZ. Maybe I should lower my expectations haha.

Haha, I had the exact same thought. I saw those front photos and was "like this looks great!" saw the back and thought "what the hell?" Thanks for the input. Is there a particularly good rust stopper to use?

Constantly checking CL up and down Cali and into Arizona as well. Unfortunately, I haven't found anything that's around 150K and clean. Checked out a V8 with 170K for 10K but the frame/bolts were pretty rusty and signs of some leaks, decided to pass.

Frustrating haha. I've been poking around for a few months, but really started searching at the start of April. Most listings seem overpriced, and even being on the west coast I've run into a lot of vehicles with rust. Good luck with your search.

Very valid points, I wasn't really thinking about it from a restoration/collector point of view. I'm currently in the market for a 4th gen, and I've looked at quite a few that have been overpriced for their mileage/condition. So I'm probably just getting frustrated haha. :D

I'm not a huge fan of the cladding on the 03s, but I have to say you did an awesome job on this build. Very clean, simple and rugged. Looks dope!
