WTB 4th gen 4Runner - SoCal

Hello!

My Subaru died on me and I've always wanted a 4Runner, so it's time to upgrade.

I'm looking for an 06+ V6 or 04+ V8, ideally with <150K miles. I'm located in SoCal (LA) but am willing to travel for the right truck, budget is between 10-14K depending on condition.

- Clean title
- 4WD is a must for me.
- No modifications is preferable.
- Clean interior and exterior.
- No frame rust.

Also interested in similar 3rd gens. Prefer years 99-00, and limited trim.

Curious how the search has been on the west coast? I'm looking for something similar here on the east.

Frustrating haha. I've been poking around for a few months, but really started searching at the start of April. Most listings seem overpriced, and even being on the west coast I've run into a lot of vehicles with rust. Good luck with your search.

Look at Craigslist? You can easily find 4x4 in your price range. Less than 100k miles are rare though.

Constantly checking CL up and down Cali and into Arizona as well. Unfortunately, I haven't found anything that's around 150K and clean.

Checked out a V8 with 170K for 10K but the frame/bolts were pretty rusty and signs of some leaks, decided to pass.

Such cars ads don't last 24 hours if price is right and seller is genuine.

I have one RWD and now am also hunting to get one more with 4x4. Don't really have need for 4wd but still looking....
There are few Lexus gx 470 that are still listed a d meets your criteria.

Keep searching, when you find the right one, you have to jump on it right away. It took me 2 years to find mine.

What you're looking for is probably gonna be around 14-16k, especially in southern California.
