    3rz JDM replacement engine

I did some surfing on the cam sensor and it appears that a 3rz distributor head doesn't have the provisions for the cam sensor. A good thread with some pics. www.tacomaworld.com/threads/missing-camshaft-position-sensor.190897/ That leaves the question of whether a coil on plug can be run as a...

    3rz JDM replacement engine

That is interesting on LCE selling a distributor hole plug. Might be worth a call to them to see if they know on the cam sensor.

I’m looking at JDM because I want an OEM Toyota engine with low miles.

    3rz JDM replacement engine

Hoping someone has experience with a JDM replacement engine for their 2 coil 3rz... I recently picked up a 97 3rz 4runner that needs either a head rebuild or an engine replacement. With 268k miles I'm leaning towards replacing the entire engine. Here is my question: After looking into JDM...

OME 883 with LC8 Wrap a good combo?

I have 883 coils up front with an ARB bumper, Warn winch, and supercharger. They are great with all the weight. I think they would be really stiff if your front end is stock. I agree on the 881s being a better option.

Denso fuel pump from an EVO8?

I'll do some searching for that Evo part number and see what I come up with. The reason I want to replace my pump is because my 4runner has 235k miles and 200k of that has been with a supercharger installed. I want to replace the fuel pump because I am sure it is tired after all those miles...

Denso fuel pump from an EVO8?

I am looking to replace the stock fuel pump in my SC 96 4runner. I would prefer to do a Denso. Looks like there are a few different part numbers floating around for the Evo fuel pumps. What part number is the one to get for the most direct fit? I have also heard rumor that a 4.7 Toyota fuel...

    rky-n-sons build thread

I thought you might be this guy named Lee because he has a kid with a 3rd gen and they ride Winter Park too. I might be interested in a couple specific parts if you are parting one of your rigs completely. I assume you must be in the greater Denver area? I'm in Golden. Sent from my iPad using...

    rky-n-sons build thread

Are you Lee? If so, I am the guy who sold you the R151 transmission this summer. I am currently working on replacing the engine in my 96 4runner and I am at a similar stage to you in the process.

    The 3.4L TRD Supercharger Thread

Thanks for the insight on the difference in throttle bodies being auto vs manual. I assumed it was because the 99 was newer. I will stick with my original then because Toyota probably put it there for a reason. Do you know how much the supercharger takes? And do I have to take the nose all the...

    The 3.4L TRD Supercharger Thread

I recently bought a 96 4runner - manual with locker and other goodies. One of the being a 1st gen supercharger that has been installed since 40k miles (currently at 235k) - no fuel mods because it has always been in Denver. The previous owner put a lot of money into the 4runner over the years...
