Write-up: How to Disable (Bypass) the TPMS

Finally got around to doing this. I followed another member’s recommendation and used a piece of CAT 5 as a jumper wire. Jumped from the back of the connecter and kept everything plugged in. Super simple job and easily reversible.

The before and after measurements are in post #3, but I gained 4” in front and 2.5” in the rear. Keep in mind those numbers are based on my 10 year old (sagging) factory suspension. I believe the T1 was designed for 0” position, but I would contact wheeler’s directly to inquire about the 0.85...

Almost 2 years and 22K miles with zero issues. With the stock UCA, the alignment shop was able to get the camber and toe within factory specs so no uneven wear or anything. :thumb:

    MRpink's Build Thread

Not much new to report, but thought I'd share some updates and pics from my recent trip. -It's been about 1 year and 3 months since I installed the suspension (~15K miles) and no change or sag in lift. -Rotating the KO2 tires every 6K and they're wearing evenly all around. -Tried changing...

    5100's and top hats help

You don’t need anything additional for the rear, all the parts are included. Just pay attention to the bushing orientation. Check out my build thread for a photo (screenshot toward the bottom): http://www.toyota-4runner.org/4th-gen-t4rs/236245-mrpinks-build-thread.html#post2673337 BTW, I have...

    FS: 4th Gen Limited 18" Wheels & Tires - $600 - SF Bay Area

***SOLD*** I hate to sell these because I like keeping the original parts, but they're taking up too much space. Taken off my 2007 4Runner Limited. This includes five (four plus matching spare) 18" factory wheels, Bridgestone Dueler tires, and TPMS. Tires have 14,000 miles on them. Matching...

Glad I could help, I know it was hard for me to decide on a setup. I picked up the FJ wheels locally on craigslist for $280. I still need to find a 5th one for the spare though.

Attention bfg kO2 owners, how are your tires a year later?

What PSI are your tires at? Sounds like it could be high.
