Woo, wish I would've done this a year ago!
Finally remembered to do this on my 07 Sport. Only took 5 minutes. I chose to use a small paperclip to jump the 2 wires in case I/future owner ever want to reverse it.
- Did not need to disconnect the battery
- Unplugged yellow-taped harness (no need to cut the tape)
- Located pink/black and white/black wire
- Inserted end of paperclip into the tiny holes that correspond with the pink/black and white/black wire.
- Covered fully in electrical tape just to be sure.
- Left unplugged.
Solid TPMS dash light is OFF!
So it seemed to do the trick the past 2 days. But now the light comes on sporadically.
Sounds like a bad contact on your bypass somewhere...
5000 miles since your last oil change?Just tried doing this and now the maintenance light is flashing on start up.
5000 miles since your last oil change?
