I would not change it if I were in your situation. In reality, the only real way to know when it needs changed is by doing oil analysis. Since you are not working, that is not an option. Random months/mileages mean nothing and are only guesses. Oil analysis gives real proof.

The purpose of the bypass filter is to use oil analysis to determine when the oil needs changed. With oil analysis you have empirical data to tell you when the oil is bad. Eventually I will recoup the cost of the bypass filter.

I have stripped fittings before from tightening too much so over the last 40 years I have learned how much force to use. I do torque other fasteners that are not used very frequently. Just did the diff and transfer case service and I torqued all of those fasteners.

Sounds like too much overthinking, hand tight then a little more with the wrench, that is it. I never use a torque wrench and have never had an issue with the 2019 or 2023.
