    New CSF 3rd Gen Toyota 4Runner Heavy-Duty All-Aluminum Radiator

Finished the final fill today, and I ended up putting in 1.5qts of concentrate (to bring the remaining 1.5 qts of distilled water to 50/50) along with 8.5 qts of 50/50 mix. It does seem that installing the CSF radiator did bump the overall capacity by 2 qts from 9.5 to 11.5. I also did 13qts...

    New CSF 3rd Gen Toyota 4Runner Heavy-Duty All-Aluminum Radiator

I know this thread is a few months old, but I was referencing it some time back while shopping for an aluminum radiator for my truck. I ended up getting the CSF, and I came back to read thru it again today because I was trying to determine the new coolant capacity. I didn't see a definitive...

Magnaflow Overland catback exhaust Group Buy on FB

Too Late I just found this thread today. I tried the code at the SRQ website, and it is expired. Just my luck I suppose...

    Steering Rack Torque Spec

Thanks for the feedback turbodudey2! When I see these discrepancies in the specs I know that some are just straight up typos, but I wonder if there were changes made over the model years (especially with all the changes that were inner generation), and the FSM has them all mixed together.

    Steering Rack Torque Spec

I've been rebuilding an 02 Sport Edition for the last few months, and I use a lot of the videos from Timmy the Toolman, and various write ups / how-to's in the forums. I was doing the work for the steering rack bushings when I came upon an interesting issue that I thought I'd share. I decided...

    Thoughts on Remanufactured Alternators?

I was reading this thread today, just ordered the same alternator from RockAuto. I did look to rebuild, but just doing the brushes wouldn't have been enough for me. I would have wanted to do the bearings too, and send the housing and pully out for sandblast / powder coat (i get that stuff...

3 Year Anniversary for the Timmy the Tooman Show

Thanks a lot Tim, not only for the videos, but the replies on YouTube and T4R.org. Some of my questions were just stupid for not watching entire videos, but you were patient enough to answer them anyway...:) Keep doin' what you do man....these things are GOLD

My '02 is dead, victim of rust monster

Don't go down without a fight! Check these guys out: autorust.com - Makers of the Frame Saving Safe-T-Cap Kit They're in Rhode Island, but I was "this close" to taking my first T4R there before I finally sold it. I had a lot of $$$ invested in that truck as well, but to my everlasting...

    Harmonic Balance Bore Material

After years of using these forums, but staying on the sidelines, I'm glad to finally start contributing. My Dayco arrived yesterday, and based on everything I've read about their quality, build process, and the condition of this particular unit, I think it was 114 dollars well spent :)...

    OME 881/906 Rear Too High!

Yeah I'll jump back in here. I can't speak to how the OME springs look, or ride, with stock shocks on all 4 corners (on my old truck I'd done the 5100 / 906 combo in the rear, but I hadn't upgraded the fronts before I sold it, and there was a noticeable rake). Wheelers offroad assured me that...

    Harmonic Balance Bore Material

I'm in the midst of rehabbing my "new" 02, and I decided to get a new HB. There isn't much of this truck that I'm not repairing or replacing at this point, and 99.99% of the replacement parts are OEM, but there are a few aftermarket parts I'm throwing on it, and for now the HB is one. I was...

Tool Research for Upper Ball Joint Replacement

I used this press method for getting my UBJ's. I was able to do it with the press sleeve kit that you have Tim (I bought the same one). Unfortunately I didn't get any pictures of it all rigged up on the press :/. I am trying to get pics as I work on my truck, but for some reason I didn't get...

3rd Gen T4R DIY Maintenance, Repair and Modification Videos

I give this tool two thumbs up as well. I had bought it some time back, and Duane didn't have the bearing press sleeve available. I believe he made that part based on Tim's feedback, and was kind enough to send me one at no additional charge! Thankfully I had (err have) bits and pieces out...

    undercarriage thoughts

I learned what not to buy with my first 3rd gen, and found a truck in much better shape for my second "go 'round". Having said that...unless I was looking at pics from trucks that spent their entire lives in moderate climates I feel like 3rd gen axle housings, skid plates, and suspension bits...

    OME 881/906 Rear Too High!

Did you replace the shocks up front as well? I actually ordered the OME 880's for the front of my truck along with the "adjustable" Bilstein 5100's underneath (Bilstein 24-248730). In the rear I am installing OME 906's with Bilstein 5100's as well. I ordered the kit for the front from...
