No codes for about 6 months but finally got p0172 the other after limping it for 10 miles bucking badly to the shop.

FYI the tps did not fix my issue. It was fixed changing the upstream o2 sensor 150 miles so far and no codes or issues.

Update .. Left for work this morning and the problem started right away. The check engine light finally come on throwing a p0172 and I limped it to autozone. Purchased a tps and installed it. Problem was still there. I then limped it down the road to a shop and left it. Just got a phone call...

Sounds very similar to my issues. Does he have any engine lights ? I'm going to buy a tps it can't hurt I guess .. I'll let you know tomorrow

Thanks good info I'm going to trace the maf wires back and see if there is a chaffed wire . Although I have unplugged it to see if I could get a change and it just killed the idle instantly.

No just open the throttle and cleaned it up also ran some seafoam injecting it at the tb. That almost completely got rid of it for 3 months straight. If the components are not pressed into exactly the correct position you can leak very easily. The thin lip on the factory seal leaves very little room for error.
