Maybe the easier question is on a TE looking front to back, does the sharkfin visibly extend above the factory crossbars? It does on the SR5 factory setup.

sandcrawler I am assuming the spec is to top of rack? Can anyone measure clearance below TE factory crossbar and flat roof (not raised cargo surface) ? On the SR5 factory crossbar I measure only approx. 7/8" in this location.

Does the TE roof rack provide more clearance between the rooftop surface and the racks crossbars than the standard SR5 rack? I want to mount a rooftop cargo box and need to get it higher than the sharkfin antenna. Would the TE rack provide addtl clearance? Also are the crossbars...
