I know this is a really hard question.
Sorry.
I will probably just call Toyota and see what they say, then come here and post the answer.
... used to be on GM cars, you left the car running while you checked the fluid.
Should you do it with the motor off?
Should you do it with the motor running ?
I noticed that there are 2 notches for cold and hot, so that is a no brainer .....as long as the level falls between those two notches.
The reason I ask is, I drove a 99 4 runner with 50K miles and it shifted...

I told the guy that my 1997 4 runner has a live rear axle and it only needs a 2 wheel alignment. He said no, you need to align all four wheels.
This sounds like a scam to me. :50cal: They are charging $67.50 for a 4 wheel alignment.
What do you guys know about this ? How much is...

Thanks
Thanks for the feedback.

I didn't realize it during normal driving, but I had to do a panic stop yesterday and the initial hit on the pedal greeted me with a lot of resistance before the pedal traveled enough to get the brakes to bite. It took...
Well, my 97 has 101K miles on it now and seems to be running fine. I just don't want to have to deal with something like a head gasket problem in the dead of winter. I have only owned this since last month.
What was the rear suspension problem all about ? I heard something that the rear...
I read some issues about the V6 engine having head gasket having problems.
My 97 has 101K on it and am concerned that this could be an issue later on.... Was this just the 95 and earlier engines ?
I have a 97 with the 3.4L six and an automatic.
70% city and 30% hwy, I got 22.4 mpg....... which is much better than I expected. I drive it really easy and I am sure that helps.
I checked it out, good suggestion.
The light went out for whatever reason. I did have the front end apart to install shocks, but didn't think I disturbed anything....
