What did you do with your classic T4R today?

Well. The last few days have been productive! I finally got the LED headlights in and wired. They work great! Damn they are bright! Today I installed the 1" BL. I got from 4crawler. Went easy, just need to do some work with the shifters, does not want to stay in 2nd, 4th or reverse. Also still...

Need some help. LED headlight wiring issue

Ha ha. It's freezing cold and snowing. There is some good literature on the wiring issue regarding changing the headlights on 4crawler. It's really not a power issue from what I can tell. It's a weird system. I will keep you guys in the loop. Thanks for your willingness to help

Need some help. LED headlight wiring issue

Still having horrible weather so I am not working on this. I talked to a local Toyota expert today and he told me what he did to make it work. Essentially, you have to add a 5 pin relay. The factory wiring as it sits will NOT work with these types of lights. He is going to help me out this...

Need some help. LED headlight wiring issue

This is a sealed beam LED. With an H4 plug in the rear. Been doing a ton of research and I guess the factory wiring has a positive, low beam and high beam. When you switch from low to high beam, the ground switches automatically between the two. Very screwed up system. I guess I will have to go...

Need some help. LED headlight wiring issue

Hey everyone, I ordered some LED headlights and adapter plugs to install on my 1990 4runner. For some reason I am only able to get the low beams to activate. No high beams. I would imagine there is a low beam, high beam and ground. But, I am learning that isn't the case. Any help? Yes I will...

What could it be? Weird "hiccup"

The strange thing is that under heavy acceleration there is zero hesitation. Runs great!! It's specifically l50-60mph under normal acceleration.

What could it be? Weird "hiccup"

Hey everyone, My 1990 4runner project is coming along nicely since I purchased it two weeks ago. However, two days ago I noticed something that up to that point hadn't happened before. While driving up and over a fairly steep mountain pass, between 50-60mph I felt a hiccup in the engine. So I...

    Newbie. A quick intro

Nice. Lol. I am not after the power so much. I would like to increase flow, reduce heat and remove that dumb crossover pipe. Lol

    Newbie. A quick intro

What's up y'all. I just picked up a very nice 1990 4runner. Yes it has the 3.0 and a 5speed. But, it runs awesome and will be a great vehicle for my family and I to go camping in, hunting with etc. I already ordered new wheels and tires, rear coils and a 1"BL. I installed new front speakers and...
