mines a 98 auto also. the 4.88s sounds about right. the 5.29s seems little too tall of a gear.

im not really worried about the mpg. im thats taking your guys advice since you have already been through this stuff. next question. no go on a S/C aint going spend that kinda money. what kind of re gearing would you do. how much gear?? i changed my mustang gears- i run 410s. best money ever spend.

From the looks of things were going 285 and were going to lose about 2mpg. Gotta take chance, plus im going running the nitto's that may help some LOL. yes the mustang sucks on MPG but i drive that car like an idiot anyway. my Silverado 5.3L sucks on gas too. and sold my accord for the 4runner.

what mods could be done for getting the power to move the 285? and trying to keep that MPG. im getting like 17.5mpg stock now?

i know the 285 most def. will look the best. but how much will that hurt my power and my MPG???
