That's awesome, I appreciate it. After all these comments now I'm deciding if I want it. I get my 4runner out of the shop next week (bumper painting) and I'll reach out.

It's a noticeable improvement! Although, I do have the stock jbl setup in my limited so the sound wasn't terrible to begin with.

I had something similar happen when my fob battery was low. I changed the fob battery and disconnected the truck battery for 30 mins and reconnected. I haven't had an issue since. Hopefully yours doesn't persist. edit: I'm glad you figured it out!!

I know you said you were looking for stock BUT if you decide to add an aftermarket head unit, I suggest the cartrimhome t10 3.1. It's a 12.3" screen with wireless carplay. Looks and performs excellent on my '15 limited. Either way, I agree that carplay is a must. Good luck!:thumb3:
