Silverstars are notorious for failing fast if anything gets on the bulb. I had 2 sets that lasted forever on my old truck and wife's car but a buddy got a finger print on one and it blew in 3 months.

Would you buy a 4Runner with 240K on it. I have narrowed the field down to a couple of trucks and one has 240K on the OD. It appears to be well taken care of. I have 2 others in the same price range but was just curious what you guys thought.

I will mainly doing highway driving. How would the stick be in desert type terrain? Its a 97 with 120,000 on it.

I found what looks like to be a nice 4x4 with a 5 speed. Is there any advantage of one over the other. It has been a few years since I drove a stick so that would be interesting. So is there any real advantage of a stick vs an automatic?

I had a set of silverstars on m old truck and my wife's old camry. The ones on my truck lasted just over 4 years when 1 burned out. The other 3 (headlights and fogs) were still going strong when I let the truck go. My wife's camry they are still working 5 years later.

Looks to me like 1 of 2 things could have happened. 1. Person went to hit brakes and slammed the throttle. 2. Some medical situation happened that caused the person to pass out.
