Silverstars are notorious for failing fast if anything gets on the bulb. I had 2 sets that lasted forever on my old truck and wife's car but a buddy got a finger print on one and it blew in 3 months.

Would you buy a 4Runner with 240K on it. I have narrowed the field down to a couple of trucks and one has 240K on the OD. It appears to be well taken care of. I have 2 others in the same price range but was just curious what you guys thought.
I found what looks like to be a nice 4x4 with a 5 speed. Is there any advantage of one over the other. It has been a few years since I drove a stick so that would be interesting.

I had a set of silverstars on m old truck and my wife's old camry. The ones on my truck lasted just over 4 years when 1 burned out. The other 3 (headlights and fogs) were still going strong when I let the truck go. My wife's camry they are still working 5 years later.

Looks to me like 1 of 2 things could have happened.
1. Person went to hit brakes and slammed the throttle.
2. Some medical situation happened that caused the person to pass out.
I just got rid of my 05 prerunner and the main difference between the normal taco and the prerunner is the prerunner is basically the 4x4 wihout the 4x4 as has been stated. Stffer suspension, higher ground clearance and bigger wheels. Im sure you could duplicate that in a 4runner by lifting it a...
