For me the biggest competition was the BMW330ci, which lost out on the reliability and tailgating potential.

I lost access to mine, but I doubt the installers made much of an effort to keep it connected as they didn't plug in the steering wheel controls when that was all they had to do with the unit I got in order to keep that functionality.

What is the rubber looking trim around the unit? And where can you buy that stuff? The reason I'm asking is b/c I had a local car audio shop design a trim to put around my double dim headunit, and if I was able to put the rubber trim on the edges it would make their piece they designed look...

Circuit City will also install items that you didn't buy from them, at least the one by me will. However I won't let them or Best Buy install items in my 4Runner as I prefered to have a more experience installers.

I'm no expert but I think the one area where you will be disapointed is with the front speakers. I would suggest that you put in components for the front doors. Also I would suggest that you might want to check circuit city out as they just started to carry Eclipse which makes better subs and...

I hooked up a tv tuner to rca input on the AVN5435. The tv tuner had additional RCA inputs, which I wired RCA cables to the center console. I use this for hooking up my mp3 player (Creative Zen Vision) that allows me to displays the songs on the screen of the AVN5435. The whole setup works...

This past Friday they installed the Sirius tuner and were able to fix all my previous issues. I've been too busy to take pictures but will make sure I get pictures taken before I have Tweeters put in there custom trim next weekend, so you can see how they installed it. BTW, the unit is great.

Davis23, where did you install your sirius antenna? The place I went to installed it inside the car on the dash all the way to the right. The radio will cut out if I'm in area trees along the roadside and for a second when going under bridges. Do I need to have it installed on the outside, or...
