Totally Stopped. If I push harder on the lever I am afraid that I will damage the gears. I do not want to damage the gears.

When I try to Shift from 4Hi to 4Lo, while in neutral, as I shift out of 4Hi it grinds as I get to 4Lo. Try to shift into 4Hi and it grinds. The only way I can get it into 4Lo is to shut it off, shift it into 4Lo, and restart the engine. When I try to shift from 4Lo to 4Hi, while in neutral...
