I drilled 1/8" holes in the nut on the back and then used a cold chisel and a hammer to smash the nut/splined bolt off and it worked easily. A cordless sawzall works well for the other two, but - as has already been said - trying to fit one onto the back one is a pain in the ass.

How in the world do you get the black clip off that the blue arrow is pointing at? I've been trying for 30 minutes and all that happens is that the entire black clip assembly comes out of the hole it's mounted in on the starter.

Sorry I'm late - had issues getting the rear shocks off. 2-5/8 at the narrowest part; 6 at the widest.
